Khaleel Ghandi
Khaleel is an award-winning film and video director, editor, and producer based in Collingwood, Ontario. Khaleel began his career in media production at the young age of 13, serving as pre-production manager on Georgian Bay Arts, a weekly television show airing on Rogers TV Collingwood. Since then, he has been involved in a range of film, television and theatre projects.
He has produced and directed over a dozen of various short- and feature-length films, ranging from experimental short films to documentaries and docu-series. His creative works have been seen across Ontario and Canada at various film festivals. His feature-length documentary Twenty Years by the Bay won Best Documentary (Canada) at the Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival and his experimental short film The Women was screened in Hamilton, Markham, and Halifax. He is currently a producer and assistant director on a docu-series commissioned by Bell Canada’s Fibe TV and a production manager on independent media projects produced out of Mississauga, Ontario. Khaleel also has vast experience in the theatrical industry as a stage manager and associate producer.
Jody Ledgerwood
Jody began her performing career at the age of 6, gracing local community stages and eventually working in front of the camera on film and TV sets. The love of performing developed into a love for everything film and stage related from building sets and painting to prop master and assistant stage manager.
While performing and working service related jobs, Jody put herself thru college graduating with honours from the legal assistant program at Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology in 1993. Years later, wanting to be her own boss, Jody completed her Real Estate Sales Person’s Registration from the Ontario Real Estate College in 2005 and continued her real estate education to achieve her Broker’s Registration in 2008. In-between working in law and real estate careers, Jody worked for a couple of corporations that saw her eye for numbers
and organization which led her into an accounting career gained from on-the-job professional training which led to her holding CFO positions with several corporations over the last 30 years including her own independent Real Estate Brokerage for the last 18 years. Jody also held a director seat on two volunteer boards over the last 20 years, one for the local real estate board with over 200 members to serve and the other seat on the local theatre board which was accountable to over 300 members.
Lobbying the Government, organizing events, partaking in mass amalgamation negotiations, further leadership development and media relations education helped to further round out Jody’s skills of diplomacy, patience, preparedness, quick thinking and presentation skills needed to be a successful contributor in the corporate world. Jody has the right combination of business sense mixed with performance production value that enables her to keep productions in line with the budgets, the contracts organized, meet with people and keep the productions, audience centric.
Cris Vleck
Cris started his career doing stand-up comedy, sketch comedy, and theatre. He has written comedy for television, radio and theatre. At that time, he earned extra income by ghost writing jokes for fellow comedians.
Over the course of 30 years Cris has applied his writing skills and unique perspective on human interaction in many different fields but took a break from entertainment to raise his two children. In that time he focused on advertising, having produced over 1500 advertisements for radio, television and print. He won several advertising awards while producing for a national entertainment company and went on to run his own advertising agency for ten years.
Over the years, Cris never lost his desire for creative entertainment writing and found pockets in his busy schedule to write a novel, produce a short independent film, publish a bi-weekly web based comic strip, and create several animated shorts on YouTube. He co- produced a parenting podcast which hit number four in the parenting category and number two in faith on iTunes.
During the 2020 lock downs Cris decided to return to screenwriting by writing a science fiction television pilot called, The Pillar. The pilot went on to receive several awards and accolades so Cris felt it was time to return to screenwriting full time. He is currently writing two television series, three feature length movies and a spec feature for a third party. In 2024, Cris created Behind the Skin, a docu-series which celebrates the tattoo stories that leave a lasting mark.
